Be a Whistleblower for Peace

The deadliest war in recent times is in Congo.  Over six million people have died in the last ten years, thousands of men, women and children continue to be victimized on a regular basis.  The people of Congo face the horrific realities of sexual violence, fear of government, malnutrition, disease and abuse every single day of their lives.
A prominent issue of the conflict is the continued abuse of young children coerced to fight in the frontlines by the very soldiers who are supposed to protect them.  Many of these children try to escape the atrocities of the war regions, risking death as they flee.
Very few are lucky enough to get away; those caught are used as examples to the remaining children.
Whistleblowers are the children too small and youthful to carry a gun.  They are directed by their militant abductors to carry a whistle instead.  The sole purpose of those selected is to warn soldiers of the approaching enemy with their whistle and to take the first round of bullets.  They are human shields, innocent victims of the heinous, deplorable war.
In response to these unconscionable realities Falling Whistles was born.  Falling Whistles is a Charitable Non-Profit that works to restore the lives of children affected by the Congo war.  The program is completely funded by sales of their symbolic whistle pendants, designed by the founder to spark interest and show support and honor the falling victims.
So shout from a rooftop the story of war torn Congo by wearing one of these conversation starters around your neck. Buy a whistle and be a symbol for justice in Congo…be a whistleblower for peace.
